Dr Gareth Jones:
Associate Professor in Sport & Exercise Medicine
Dr Gareth Jones is an Associate Professor in Sport & Exercise Medicine and a registered Physiotherapist with a specialist interest in climbing-related injuries. His research and clinical work focus on the epidemiology, prevention, and management of injuries in climbers, with a particular emphasis on adolescent athletes. Recently, his clinical research has concentrated on the diagnosis and management of stress injuries and growth plate fractures in young climbers, aiming to enhance early detection and improve long-term outcomes.
